My first blog post on my new website!! First can I say that all of my blog posts are completely from my sporadic mind, I am not perfect by any means. Therefore, nor will my blog posts be perfect. And let's face it a normal person when journaling does not care about punctation and correct grammar they just want to write. With that being said :) I am ready to do my thank yous!!!!
So in 2017 my family and I did two cross country moves. My husband is a Marine and man I hate the life of moving all the time, but I love my husband so that's the reason I still do it. But we moved from Twentynine Palms, CA to Missouri. While in Missouri my photography business boomed! It was about the only thing I loved about Missouri to be honest. I had the pleasure of shooting a numerous amount of families, mini sessions, newborns, maternity sessions, fashion, etc. I was living my dream! I met the most amazing people and will cherish their friendships forever! In 2017 I shot my first wedding, which was soooo amazing! Then I also had the pleasure of shooting my second one shortly after. I never thought weddings would be my thing but man I absolutely loved it! In December we moved back to CA but to San Diego this time. If you could hear my heart thumping now, I LOVEEE San Diego!! The views, the oceans, the amount of things to do, I could go on and on!
Here we are in beautiful Oceanside! I'm absolutely loving life. After getting my house unpacked and everything situated I decided to open back up for business. Let me tell you this was not easy! The market is flooded with some amazing talent here. We have those "i'm a photographer because I just got a camera", we have the "I need customers so I'm going to undercut all the competitors", the ones that are actually professionals, and the ones that are learning. Either way it's flooded. But since I am such an outgoing person I have successfully kicked my business off the ground in as little as two months! I am so proud of myself! So far I have done 50 boudoir sessions, 1 wedding, 2 engagement sessions, 4 Valentine's Day sessions, 2 couple sessions, 3 family sessions, and 3 homecomings. I have to say that I am truly blessed and I have to thank all of my amazing customers who have become my family!
What's next?! Well I have a good bit of sessions lined up for the next couple of months. I know I have about 3 homecomings booked, 2 birth sessions, 2 maternity sessions, my easter mini's are booking fast, 2 newborn sessions, and whatever life throws at me! I'm super excited about my old but new adventure here in California!
Stay tuned into my blog for my upcoming deals, and more reading of what's on my mind!
